The Global Markets Group is a market leader in providing world-class service to a wide range of clients. This team operates at the center of the world’s debt and equity markets. They provide sales and trading services, liquidity, hedging strategies and industry-leading insights, analytics and competitive pricing to more than 9,000 institutional clients across six continents.
The Global Equities group includes Institutional Derivatives Sales, Derivative and Convertible Trading, Institutional Equity Sales, Equity Trading, Electronic Trading Services, Prime Brokerage and OTC Trading. Global Equities provides marketing, structuring and trading of listed and customized equity products for its clients.
As a team member, your role offers market-making, financing, securities-clearing, settlement and custody services globally to our institutional investor clients in support of their investing and trading activities. The team also works with commercial and corporate clients to provide risk management products using interest rate, equity, credit, currency and commodity derivatives; foreign exchange; fixed-income; and mortgage-related products.
**Job Description**
Equity Electronic Trading team provides analytics research and actionable intelligence/output on Equity and Equity-linked products like Options, Swaps, Futures etc. This output is useful in creating/enhancing tools/strategies that provide solutions on Electronic and Algorithmic led execution strategies for clients.
Responsibilities will revolve around procuring and analyzing new data sets, creating new proactive alert driven workflows and dashboards, and improving information delivery with Chat-Bot (AI/NLP) technologies. The team will work on improving internal data and tools with an eye on externalizing the capabilities to clients.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work closely with Platform and Strats teams and own requirements on data gathering, research, design, implementation, testing and monitoring trading performance for strategies running on trading platforms
+ Partner with our Quants, Sales and Trading teams to develop core analytics and deliver key initiatives in the global trading analytics space
+ Back-test Equity and Equity-linked trading data/strategies and apply statistical analysis to create actionable results for the business
+ Work on complex data problems, handle large amounts of data and deliver a suite of analysis tools optimized for the data framework
+ Understand business challenges, financial products and drive technical/quantitative solutions
+ Liaise and interact with the business to refactor similar processes in a uniform and robust way
+ Analysis, Design, and Implementation of Data Warehouse with responsibilities of Data Quality, Data Verification/Reconciliation, and delivery of Data in useful ways.
+ Analysis, Design, and Development of Front Office Tool suite for Data and Analytics Platform
+ Analysis, Design, Implementation & Testing of Pro-active Alerts Driven Workflows
+ Maintaining existing Data Warehousing Infra-structure
+ Maintaining infrastructure of Web & UI tools
**Requirements***
**Education:**
+ Master’s Degree or higher in Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering; or equivalent experience
**Foundational Skills:**
Expertise in Python/C/ C++ and object-oriented programming
+ Experience with databases/data pipelines
+ Hands On Experience in SQL & Database (Preferably –Hadoop Impala & Vertica)
+ Basic Knowledge of Linux and Shell Scripting
+ Ability to understand requirements and map to technical implementation
+ Knowledge of Electronic Trading and Algorithms as well as working knowledge of Equity and Equity Derivative products (simple and complex non-liner products like options and liner products like Swaps, Futures and Delta One products)
+ Skilled at troubleshooting desk issues/inquiries and work hand in hand with other groups to ensure resolution to inquiries
+ Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management
+ Ability to synthesize information from various documents/sources
+ Ability to independently host calls and lead discussions with senior executives and stakeholders to arrive at business solutions
+ Thorough and pro-active approach, willing to work in a dynamic team
+ Commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail
+ Prior experience with financial derivatives would be an advantage
**Desired Skills:**
+ Experience with simulations, optimization, nonlinear programming, statistics would be an advantage
**Experience Range:** 1-3 years
**Location:** Mumbai
**Shift timing:** 12.30 pm to 9.30 pm, Shift timings are subjective to change depending upon the business requirements. Propensity to work of public holidays including weekends and long hours
