Analyst Financial Sr ODB - Decision Support
Description Location: UCHealth Leprino Building, Aurora, CO Department: Decision Support Business Development FTE: Full Time, 1.0 FTE, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary:Reporting directly to the Director Budget and Decision Support for the Metro Denver Region, the Sr. Decision Support Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for working with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and improved efficiency leveraging the Vizient Operational Data Base (ODB). The Sr. Decision Support Analyst is directly responsible for performance monitoring, reporting and communication, stakeholder engagement, and training and education. Finally, this role is primarily responsible for all data submissions, including all normalization activities, and ensuring the integrity of the ODB working in collaboration with UCHealth system resources as required. Responsibilities: • Prepare quarterly data submissions in accordance with Vizient rules, ensuring completeness and accuracy • Establish and maintain a governance structure for normalizations in accordance with Vizient guidelines • Compare actual performance against industry peers and actively work with operational leadership to identify improvement areas and targets • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, optimize resource utilization, and enhance revenue generation • Track key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess progress towards goals • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders • Collaborate with various departments and levels of management to gather requirements, provider support, and ensure successful implementation of solutions • Educate stakeholders on the ODB and its capabilities, and train them on how to use the data to improve operations Requirements: + Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Master's degree preferred. + Minimum Experience: 4 years of related experience; preferred at least 5 years in healthcare finance + Prior Vizient ODB experience preferred + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data + Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to diverse audiences + Experience with data analysis, database management; proficient in Microsoft Excel + Understanding of healthcare finance, including payment policies and reimbursement methodologies.
