Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Reporting directly to the Director Budget and Decision Support for the Metro Denver Region, the Sr. Decision Support Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for working with operational and finance stakeholders to ensure financial stability and efficiency. The Sr. Analyst will prepare financial reports, analyze spending, and develop strategies to improve financial performance in collaboration with operations. The Sr. Analyst will direct annual planning processes, inclusive of operating and capital budgets, as well as provide support in development of the long-range financial plan.
Responsibilities:
• Track and analyze expenses, identify areas of inefficiency, and recommend cost-savings measures
• Develop, monitor, and adjust billing rates to reflect cost changes and maximize cost recovery
• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data related to patient utilization, payor mix, and other factors
• Participate in cost allocation studies and support cost accounting processes
• Assist in developing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
Requirements:
+ Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Master's degree preferred.
+ Minimum Experience: 4 years of related experience; preferred at least 5 years in healthcare finance
+ Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting and cost accounting
+ Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop insights
+ Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
+ Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement changes
