What is the opportunity?

In this role you will provide strong support within Northern Caribbean Finance, providing accurate and timely reporting of financial and regulatory information relative to job functions for RBC Personal & Commercial Banking, Wealth Management and Corporate Treasury entities. Promote teamwork by committing to deliver a continuous high level of service to colleagues. Contribute to the team’s objectives by identifying and offering appropriate solutions with a continuous focus on effectiveness, problem resolution and the integration/implementation of new initiatives and activities.

What will you do?              

Prepare regulatory and statutory returns based on assigned rotationProcess requests for general ledger maintenance (manage the ownership and opening of general ledger accounts and mapping tables in both RIBS and EGL)Monitor general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are accuratePrepare monthly reconciliations and complete attestation using RBC’s PEGA applicationProcess journal entries where needed to update financial recordsAssist management with managing audit requestsSeek opportunities for automation and efficiencyDeliver on ad hoc requests as required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Pursuing an accounting designation - ACCA, CPA or other similar designation, with a minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experienceProficiency in Excel, RIBS, eGL applicationsGood communication skills (written & verbal)Ability to work independently and with aggressive deadlinesHigh commitment to accuracy and excellent problem-solving skills
