Group 1 seeks to hire an Analyst, Environmental, Health and Safety. The position reports to the Director, EHS.
Position Overview
The EHS Analyst supports the development, tracking, and continuous improvement of Group 1 Automotive’s Environment, Health & Safety performance metrics, programs, reports and training. This role enables data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing safety and environmental data across all U.S. dealerships, collision centers, and corporate facilities. The EHS Analyst is a key member of the safety team, helping to drive accountability, transparency, and process improvement across the enterprise.
Description of Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position primarily include:
Learning & Development Support – Maintain safety training content (e.g., onboarding, eLearning, toolbox talks); track LMS metrics and support continuous improvement in training deliveryData Collection & Validation – Aggregate EHS data from dealership and regional safety teamsMetrics & Reporting – Maintain EHS dashboard; publish monthly scorecards and reportsIncident Analytics – Conduct trend analysis on safety incidents, injuries and vehicle incidentsRegulatory Tracking – Support compliance monitoring and flag overdue itemsAudit & Corrective Action Monitoring – Track audits and corrective actions; escalate issuesSystem Administration – Help manage third party or in-house EHS management software; maintain data accuracyCross-functional Support – Collaborate with Ops, HR, Risk, and Legal teamsContinuous Improvement – Identify safety trends and improvement areasOther duties, as assigned
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field2–4 years of analytical experience, safety data experience a plusAdvanced Excel skills: Power BI or Tableau preferredFamiliarity with Safety regulatory compliance OSHA, EPA, OSHA 300 logs or audit processes a plusDetail-oriented with strong communication skillsAble to handle sensitive data objectivelyStrong analytical and executive‑level communication skills; ability to travel 30–40 %Why Group 1 Automotive
