**_Purpose_**
Contributes to the overall success of the Asset Servicing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
**_Accountabilities_**
+ Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
+ Strong data reconciliation abilities via running reports, balancing and querying large data sets;
+ Ensure the accurate collection, management and timely processing of all Coupon, Interest and Maturity payments and pivots by reviewing online reports/files and processing payments received from depositories and issuers.
+ Dynamic individual, that is capable of learning quickly and is a change agent
+ Provide ongoing assistance to the team with regular updates, training and cross training other team members as required, and providing support with other functions as required
+ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
+ Completes sundry and other ad-hoc duties as needed
+ Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

**_Reporting Relationships_**
Primary Manager: Assistant Manager - Capital Markets, Corporate Actions & Dividend and Coupon Income Processing
Direct Reports: N/A
Shared Reports (solid/dotted if applicable): N/A
**_Dimensions_**
+ Frequent interactions with Front Office – GBM, Scotia McLeod, iTrade and Scotia Trust.
+ Daily interactions with internal partners – GWO Operations, Finance and Wealth.
+ Regular interactions with external fund companies/issuers.
+ Independent processing and reconciliation of Income distributions.
+ Excellent time management skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and volumes.
**_Education / Experience / Other Information_**
+ VBA, SQL or Python skills are preferred
+ Excel intermediate to advanced level
+ Broadridge experience is nice to have
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Knowledge of Capital Markets; and various financial instruments across Fixed Income and Equities
+ 1-3 year of experience in financial services / reconciliation procedures / accounting
+ Business/Finance degree
**_Working Conditions_**
+ Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
