• move towards continuous accounting approach by optimizing financial statement close, consolidation and reporting processes, financial supply chain management processes etc.

 

 

 

Job Role

The role involves providing objective advise, expertise, guidance, and specialist skills with the aim of achieving the project targets. The Consultant/Senior Consultant will mainly work with the EY team to:

· Be part of the client engagements and lead specific work-streams

· Understand client requirements and FP&A processes, design and implement solutions including finance technology products, where required

· Map current processes & control systems and identify gaps and areas of improvement

· Design the target operating model (TOM) for future state processes

· Lead the delivery / execution of high-quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand and client expectations

· Support the Engagement Manager for activities such as engagement economics and receivables, project resources and team utilization

· Support knowledge sharing efforts and train the team on new tools and technology

· Demonstrate significant industry specific FP&A solution expertise

· Ensure compliance to the firm’s standards, processes, and policies

· Contribute to the firm’s initiatives in business development, enhancing market leadership & growth, quality, people agenda and operational excellence

· Manage senior external/internal stakeholders independently

 


Additionally, for Manager position:

· Demonstrate and Implement industry leading solutions for client engagements

· Contribute to brand development by writing articles, point-of-views and developing thought leadership

· Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training professionals

· Support people development through guidance and feedback

· Build a high-performance team while mentoring and coaching team members

· Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff

 


Professional Background

· 2 to 10 (Consultant – 2+ yrs., Sr. Consultant – 4+ yrs., Manager – 6+ yrs.) years of relevant experience in Consulting background (preferably) or Industry background (Business excellence / FP&A Team).

· Experience in driver-based performance management (DB-PM), driver-based planning, budgeting, forecasting (DB-PBF), Zero based budgeting (ZBB), P&L scenario planning, what-if analysis, and sensitivity analysis.

· Experience in current state assessment / maturity assessment of FP&A processes and /or FP&A transformation initiatives across people & org, data & technology, processes & policies.

· Exposure to profitability analysis, cost accounting & product costing

· Knowledge of strategic, tactical & operational KPIs for management reporting and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau for creating dashboards

· Experience in FP&A technologies like Anaplan, SAP BPC, Hyperion, Tagetik, OneStream etc.

· Exposure to data management, analytic tools for forecasting, projections using AI/ML is an added advantage

· Relevant consulting experience with Big 4 is preferred
