Background:  

Brookfield’s Real Estate Group is seeking a motivated, organized individual to play an integral role on the Investor Services team, based in Mumbai, India.

The candidate would join a team who is responsible for overseeing investor servicing activities for the firm’s real estate private funds and would play an important client service role by helping to own the investor relations inbox and collaborating with the investor relations and other internal teams on an ongoing basis. The team’s shared inbox is the central point for the majority of inbound queries from existing investors and is a critical component of the Brookfield investor experience. 

Key responsibilities:  

Own the coordination and preparation of responses to investor requests: 

Manage the IR inbox by logging all requests in the team’s internal request tracking system;  

Answer requests directly, if appropriate, or assign to relevant team members; and  

Return completed deliverables to investor

Manage and update repository of historical investor request responses 

Determine urgency of investor requests and prioritize accordingly 

Maintain contact database and update investor contact information as needed  

Stay current on requests and projects across all real estate funds and team members; send reminders when appropriate and act as “project manager” 

Liaise with finance, tax and legal teams to obtain information relating to investor requests 

Qualifications:  

Minimum 2-3 years work experience, preference for experience working in financial services/asset management industry in a similar role 

Direct experience in private funds, client service and/or investor relations is a plus 

Experience with real estate private funds is a plus 

Excellent writing and communication skills; fluency in English; ability to convey information in an effective and professional manner 

Superior organization skills with great attention to detail; ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities  

Willingness and capability to take ownership of projects and deliverables 

Team player with a “no task is too small” attitude 

A flexible mindset; open to handling projects and tasks that evolve over time 

Comfort working independently, with an emphasis on resourcefulness 

Ability to learn quickly and recognize patterns in how investor responses are crafted 

Technological skills: above average proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to rapidly become an expert in software used by the team (Monday.com, Loopio, Salesforce, etc.)
