Job Title: Health Plan Analyst Department: Health Plan Strategy & Programs Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Analyst to join our Health Plan team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our organization remains competitive by identifying, designing, implementing, and evaluating healthcare programs that effectively manage costs and enhance member benefits. Key Responsibilities: + Research and evaluate potential programs and vendor partnerships that align with the Health Plan’s mission and strategic goals. + Provide insights on industry trends and recommend new or revised programs and practices to senior leadership. + Lead quarterly trend reviews and forecasting analyses to support data-driven decision-making. + Collaborate cross-functionally and perform other duties as assigned to support departmental initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: + Strong analytical skills with the ability to define data needs, compile and interpret complex datasets. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, business correspondence, project plans, and present findings to leadership and external partners. + Experience in medical and pharmacy benefit management, plan design, medical coding, and case management (medical and behavioral). + Familiarity with healthcare policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. + Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, set performance goals, and monitor outcomes. + Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and ad hoc reporting tools. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience Level: Intermediate – 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare analytics, insurance, or health plan operations.
