About the Role & Team

 

Our current hybrid working policy requires you to work from our Hammersmith office 4 days per week and 1 day from home.

 

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer video entertainment service, offering

premium branded content alongside a broad general entertainment library, appealing to families

and adults alike. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key

content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing

and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g. smart TVs, mobile devices).

The Disney+ team in EMEA is responsible for the ongoing performance, operations and growth of

Disney+ across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, focusing on marketing, customer acquisition

and retention, partnerships and synergy, content programming, research and analytics.

We are looking for a highly skilled and detailed analyst to join our Disney + Analytics & Insights EMEA team working in London; with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining our key data models and analytics solutions. You will be collaborating across the Analytics & Insights team and some of our key stakeholders to gather requirements, implement data pipelines, ensure data

accuracy, integrity, and availability with the end goal of developing self-service solutions. The Analyst will also contribute to the delivery of timely insights to inform initiatives across Disney+ EMEA, contributing to regular reporting and creation of self-serve solutions.

This is a pivotal role within the Disney+ business, which will drive our self-serve capability and allow the democratisation of insights generation that will directly feed into business decisions and action plans across the region.

 

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to collect, process, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis. 

Collaborate with stakeholders, including the A&I team, and business users, to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 

Implement data models, schemas, and ETL workflows to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization needs. 

Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets efficiently. 

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance. 

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to monitor key metrics and provide regular updates on performance to stakeholders. 

Help automate processes that are currently manual. 

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Analytical Insight or similar. 

Experience in data pipeline and data model development. 

Ability to take requirements and build efficient, robust, and scalable solutions. 

Excellent proficiency in SQL and working with data warehousing technologies, such as Snowflake and Databricks

Knowledge of orchestration and version control tools, such as Github 

In-depth knowledge of data visualisation tools, such as Looker or Tableau 

Programming skills, such as Python

Collaborative working style with desire to share knowledge that enables the entire team 

Positive and collaborative with an enthusiastic attitude; passionate about being a team player 

Detail Orientated to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. 

Ability to be agile around changing needs, whilst meeting project deadlines.
