About the position:

This is a junior lending professional role within the front office. As a key member of the Lending team, you will support and work closely with senior bankers across several sectors.  The work will be fast-paced and multifaceted.   This will give you exposure to a variety of lending structures and industries, providing the experience and grounding for a strong credit-focused career.

Responsibilities:

The Lending Team is involved with new transactions and takes primary responsibility for many of the key processes, which include:Performing due diligence, market research and analyticsPreparing credit approval packages including annexes and all requisite attachments, presentations and discussions with Risk ManagementPreparing financial models including cash flow forecasts, valuations, and sensitivity analysisDeveloping key underwriting assumptions based on a deep understanding of the asset, market and industry trendsRunning internal models, including risk ratings and loan pricingInterfacing with risk, loan operations, treasury, legal teams, clients and co-lenders to coordinate loan closingsReviewing legal documentation and validating key terms & conditionsThe Lending Team works closely with the client relationship managers and/or the Deal Principals on originating and structuring dealsEnsure a consistent level of quality and policy compliance through training and development activitiesStaying current on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitate these accordingly.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelors’ degree demonstrating high academic achievementFinancial analysis and modeling skills, proficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of credit analysis and of debt capital marketsCommitted and dedicated individual who will continuously improve the way the team worksCollaborative, team oriented, and able to work effectively across functions and regionsStrong writing, presentation and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing prioritiesSelf-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environmentStrong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanorKnowledge of, or high degree of interest in, any of the following industries: Renewables & Power, Mid and Downstream Oil and Gas, TMT, Infrastructure, Trade & Commodity Finance, Real Estate, Investment Industry Finance, Transportation & Logistics, Financial Institutions, Export Finance, Food & Agriculture, or Metals & Mining

Salary Range $105,000-$115,000
