Main Responsibilities
-Lead and oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive test strategies and plans for all deliverables, including data migration and application testing.
-Ensure alignment and adoption of the approved QA approach across the project team, providing guidance and oversight to ensure consistent implementation.
-Coordinate and support the identification and generation of test data tailored to each scenario.
-Author and validate test scenarios, ensuring the execution of both manual and automated tests, and the production of robust test evidence.
-Investigate anomalies, lead the development of corrective solutions, conduct unit testing, and document resolutions.
-With the help of Azure DevOps dashboarding tools, prepare accurate status reports on the QA progress of each workstream, making sure to provide the necessary context where warranted.
-Maintain and optimise the test case repository within Azure DevOps.
-Champion compliance with established testing processes and standards.
-Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of QA methodologies, tools, and practices.
-Drive the creation and evolution of onboarding materials and tools to support project team integration and performance.
Academic Background
Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, statistics, or mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical role.
Seniority Senior
Experience
-Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, with demonstrated leadership in QA initiatives.
-Proven experience in designing and executing manual and automated tests.
-Expertise in all levels of testing, including functional, non-functional, API, and Web UI.
-Strong background in documenting and analysing test scenarios and results.
-Experience in CI/CD environments and agile delivery teams, preferably using Scrum.
-Familiarity with test automation tools (Record and Playback) is considered an asset.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours)
-Proficiency with Azure DevOps and understanding of the software development lifecycle is a critical asset.
-Deep understanding of QA processes and industry best practices.
-Analytical skills to interpret results and produce actionable test reports.
-Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
-Strong communication and leadership skills in both French and English.
-Skilled in training and mentoring team members on testing methodologies.
-Proficient in GIT, SQL, and web technologies.
-Knowledge of public and private markets, investment operations, accounting, and analytics is an asset.
-Solid foundation in programming and scripting languages.
-Capable of designing and executing both manual and automated test scenarios.
-Experience with Gherkin language and BDD-based test scenario development.
-Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake).
-Familiarity with JSON and PowerShell is an asset.
