Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Role Purpose:

Perform daily functions of Payroll Operations to ensure efficient and timely processing of payroll, including planning and direction of workflow to complete the weekly payroll cycle in accordance with established deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process payroll transactions in accordance with established deadlines.Initiate processes and create/generate reports that result in or lead to the completion of a paycheck.  Perform data entry to maintain record information for Team Members and/or vendors as applicable. May perform data management in systems managed by third party or parent company, as necessary. Perform audits of payroll inputs and results to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.Work with partner departments to resolve issues impacting pay.Work with Business Partners to resolve issues impacting pay.Make recommendations for process improvements and work to implement.Partner with offshore resources to ensure uploads are processed accurately and timely.Ensure that all inputs are loaded into payroll accurately and timely.UAT Participation to test any upgrades, enhancements, and/or new implementations before they go to the production database to ensure everything is working properly.Resolve tickets coming into the payroll queue from AskHR timely.Research and manage all cases sent to Payroll Operations.Ensure that all final pay state terminations are processed in accordance with state rules.Proactively communicate and collaborate with process partners and/or other points of escalation to provide research and information to resolve an issue.Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent experienceExperience with payroll process and projectsExperience in SAP Payroll or equivalent enterprise-level HR/payroll systemExperience in UKG Timekeeping is a plusExcellent written and oral communication skills.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
