About the role:
The Leveraged and Acquisition Finance team at MUFG is looking for a highly motivated, team player with strong corporate finance skills to support the growing pipeline of M&A activity across both Private Equity sponsor clients and Corporates. The individuals will be based in Sydney and will primarily cover the client base for Australia and New Zealand, together with broader APAC
What you’ll be doing:
Support the origination, structuring and execution of acquisition and event-driven financings across a broad spectrum of transaction structures including; private equity acquisitions, growth and recapitalisation financings, corporate acquisitions, and event financing activitySupport the banking coverage teams across private equity, infrastructure, industrials, technology, healthcare, and financial servicesUndertake credit analysis to identify potential investment risks and mitigants to effectively prepare internal committee and underwriting submissionsBuild detailed financial modelling, scenario analysis and due diligence to assist senior team members as part of deal executionPreparation of materials (including lender presentation and information memorandums) to assist with the syndication of underwritten transactionsSupport idea generation and development of pitch books and related client materialsResearch, compile industry data and understand market trends and competitive dynamicsInteract with private capital firms, lawyers, accountants, corporate and other industry participants to assess deal opportunities and gather market insightsReview and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activitiesOther such duties, responsibilities, and authority as may be reasonably required, consistent with your background, experience and prior business activityWhat we are looking for:
3+ years’ previous Banking or Leveraged Finance experience desirableExperience in corporate finance and/or financial advisoryExperience in financial modelling, credit analysis and documentationDegree qualified - undergraduate or postgraduate in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering or similar degreesOutstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accountingHighly motivated with demonstrated ability to managing conflicting priorities and requestsWilling to learn about all investment and institutional banking productsAbility to take initiative and function well within a teamStrong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to create and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisationMust maintain high standards of professional and ethical conductExperience with stakeholder management and collaboration with other departmentsMS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and PowerpointOur culture:
