The Role
The Analyst, HR Data Governance supports the creation and implementation of Hyatt’s HR data governance framework. This role focuses on ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across HR systems by executing governance processes, documenting data standards, and performing data audits. This role offers the opportunity to help build Hyatt’s foundational HR data governance framework and contribute to a large-scale HR system transformation. Key responsibilities include:
Data Governance Operations
Support the development and documentation of HR data standards, definitions, and governance procedures.
Help define and document business rules for critical HR data elements across global systems.
Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of data governance practices.
Maintain centralized documentation of HR data definitions, ownership, and governance processes to ensure clear standards and continuity across teams.
Execute recurring audits to monitor data quality and identify inconsistencies across HR systems.
Ensure HR data management practices align with organizational data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
Data Quality Management
Assist with HR data mapping, validation, and reconciliation during mergers, acquisitions, and system implementations.
Investigate and document data issues; partner with cross-functional HR and IT teams to resolve root causes.
Maintain dashboards or logs of data quality metrics, helping track governance adoption and improvement.
Analytics and Business Process Automation
Conduct ad hoc analysis and data validation in support of HR strategic initiatives.
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Operations, and HR Business Partners to identify opportunities to streamline or automate manual data processes.
Collaborate with HRIT and HR Analytics to support testing and deployment of automation or dashboarding solutions.
Collaboration
Collaborate with HRIT, COEs, and HR Operations to align on data standards and processes.
Support communication and education efforts around data governance concepts.

Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
