Accounting Analyst - Accrued Expenses(1 year maternity cover )Summary:This is where we explore ways to standardize and automate manual processes, simple statutory reporting activities, and reimagine how we work together.
Our EMEA A2R (Account to Report) team ensures the correctness and timely submission of accounting and statutory reports for our global Baxter entities.
Accounting Analyst for the EMEA A2R Accrued Liabilities and Expenses team is preparing and recording manual journal entries tied to Indirect Purchases across the globe. The role requires an understanding of accounting matters, problem-solving skills and collaboration with finance and non-finance teams across the EMEA market.
What will you be doing?Preparing manual journals for various expense accruals with adequate supporting documentation.
Verifying expense accruals built by procurement systems such as Coupa, are booked and any errors are accurately followed up and fixed during the month-end close cycle.
Responding to queries from local country finance on time.
Completing assigned account reconciliations in Blackline per established deadlines.
Providing audit support as needed.
Supporting regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis.
Supporting monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and working closely with Regional Controllership teams.
Who are we looking for?Finance professional with a few years of relevant professional finance experience, ideally gained in a multinational environment.
A strong analyst with excellent interpersonal skills, who can be diplomatic, flexible, and has a “can do” attitude.
Fully Proficient English Speaker with great customer communication skills.
Systems and processes: good knowledge of US GAAP is a plus, understanding of reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, experience in JDE, Blackline, Alteryx, Coupa and W-Desk is an advantage.
In terms of education: a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting (part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA would be an asset).
