Analyst, DTC Strategy
Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The DTC Strategy team supports DTC and Disney leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team’s activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the streaming business.

Examples of work the group has led recently include:

Developing novel growth strategies for Disney+ and Hulu (e.g., product innovation and feature prioritization, content investment, tiering strategy, international, etc.)Assessing partnership and M&A opportunitiesAssessing opportunities for growth acceleration across international marketsBenchmarking marketplace and competitor trendsCreating executive presentations for the Board of Directors and the investor community (e.g., earnings call preparations, Investor Day)

Job Summary:

Structure and build complex financial models to inform decision making across a variety of projects, including new business development opportunities and growth strategies.Analyze data across both internal and external sources to derive relevant business insights.Create presentations to summarize key insights and recommendations for streaming leadership and the broader Disney leadership team.

Responsibilities:

Create financial models and analyses to support decision making and strategic initiativesComplete market research and track industry trendsDevelop executive-level presentations to summarize strategic initiatives for the leadership team

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting firm, or a corporate strategy/development groupAdvanced technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modelingAnalytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Passion for streaming entertainment and technology

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in media & entertainment
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $95,800 to $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
