Major areas of responsibility:

Collaborate with horizontal workstreams to address interdependencies; drive governance and facilitate regular program and project calls.Develop the Service Delivery Model and prepare the argument for mid to large-sized projects by translating customer needs and conducting risks & process readiness assessments.Influence key program collaborators to ensure successful implementation across workstreams and businesses.Perform regular project plan evaluations, including achievement and deliverables assessments, to guarantee project readiness and quality.Implement suitable approaches to secure timely completion of breakthroughs and landmarks to accomplish project goals promptly, with quality and within budget.Identify and handle risks, problems, actions, decisions, and interdependencies, take charge of addressing customer concerns in case of critical issues, and work to develop mitigation strategies.Prepare and define achievements, review deliverables, and turning points. Monitors, maintains/updates project plans & resolves complex issues / handles critical path processes as they relate to project delivery.Accountable for consistent reporting schedules, guaranteeing transparent dissemination of project results (risks, challenges, tasks, and choices), and guiding Steering Committee dialogues. Efficiently convey the progress and achievements of the projects.Lead and complete assigned projects or defined areas of complex projects—regardless of scope (complex business transformations, automations, system implementations, migrations, transitions, process reengineering, new customer onboarding, etc.)Drive project requirements, deliverables, and progress throughout the project’s lifecycle with Business, Operational teams, IT, and any other functions.Lead project portfolio, handle changes to keep it on track, and provide accurate health and savings data.Build a culture of excellence in line with our Thermo Fisher Values.

Required education/experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a business-related field.Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, etc.) highly desirable.5+ years of solid experience managing complex, global programs and project initiatives.Experience in Customer Service and asset management services preferred.GBS experience is highly desirable.Experience in Agile project management is an advantage.Proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Strong collaborator coordination abilities.Strong project management skills and capabilities (planning tools, defining deliverables, argument, and baseline development) with meticulous attention to detail.Can work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teams.Excellent presentation skills, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.Good communicator and can also practice active listening.Able to apply critical thinking to problem-solving and can learn on the fly.Confirmed people management skills in leading project team members; support in succession planning and team development.Can efficiently cope with change and can comfortably look after risk and uncertainties.Capable of prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, efficient in time management.Has experience in successfully leading complex, multi-layered projects.Has sound workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate difficult or intricate messages in a measured and clear manner.Has good interpersonal skills & good negotiating skills.
