**Job Title: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician**
**Job Description**
As an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, servicing, and repairing equipment related to steam, refrigeration, water, compressed air, and HVAC systems. You will ensure the efficient and safe operation of multiple engine rooms and refrigeration equipment while maintaining meticulous logs of daily operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels/recirculatory, purges, evaporators / MAUs, heat exchangers, and control valves/isolation valves using Original Equipment Manufacturer's guidelines.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot steam boilers, wastewater treatment facilities, water heaters, HVAC systems, and air compressors.
+ Actively participate in the Process Safety Management (PSM) Program and promote safe working habits.
+ Log time and material usage into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks.
+ Ensure cleanliness and organization of engine rooms, vessel areas, shops, and other work areas.
+ Perform upkeep of building infrastructure, including docks, doors, roofs, windows, walls, grouting, and painting.
+ Collaborate with contractors to maintain or repair equipment when necessary.
+ Execute duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) that comply with Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (WDA), and customer requirements.
+ Report to the workstation on time, wear proper work attire, and assist in setting up the work area.
+ Conduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of experience in Ammonia Refrigeration.
+ RETA certification CIRO within 3 years of employment.
+ PSM experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
+ Experience in electrical repair and maintenance.
+ Industrial maintenance skills.

**Work Environment**
Work on the 1st shift, typically from 8am - 4pm, with flexibility for 7-3 or 9-5 shifts. Operate in a GMP environment where wearing a hair net/beard net is required throughout the facility. Experience varying temperatures, with refrigerated packaging and shipping storage areas, and a relatively hot blow mold area.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
