Job Title: AML Team Lead – Backlog Remediation Project Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP About the Role TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AML Team Lead to oversee a high-impact internal project focused on clearing a backlog of AML-related cases. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with deep expertise in Anti-Money Laundering operations, case management, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities + Lead and manage a team of AML Analysts working on backlog remediation. + Oversee daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate review of flagged transactions and cases. + Develop and implement workflows to streamline backlog clearance. + Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reporting to stakeholders. + Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (FINTRAC, FATF, etc.). + Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex cases. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Risk, and Technology. Qualifications + 5+ years of experience in AML, financial fraud, or compliance roles. + Previous leadership experience in managing AML teams or projects. + Strong understanding of Canadian AML regulations and global standards. + Experience with transaction monitoring systems and case management tools. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + CAMS or equivalent certification preferred. Nice to Have + Experience working in a consulting or project-based environment. + Familiarity with backlog remediation strategies and operational efficiency models. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
