AML Analyst
TEKsystems
The AML Analyst is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and reporting suspicious financial activity to ensure compliance with Anti–Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal policies. This role focuses on transaction monitoring, case investigations, and supporting regulatory reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Monitor customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activity using internal AML systems.
+ Review and investigate alerts, documenting findings clearly and accurately.
+ Conduct research on customers and counterparties using internal records and external databases (e.g., sanctions lists, adverse media).
+ Escalate potential suspicious activity to analysts or Compliance for further review.
+ Prepare or support the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) / Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
+ Maintain thorough documentation of all investigations in accordance with regulatory standards.
+ Assist with enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews for higher-risk clients.
+ Support audits, regulatory exams, and periodic AML reviews.
+ Stay informed on AML regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Criminology, or related field.
+ 1–3 years of AML, compliance, risk, or financial services experience (preferred).
+ Knowledge of AML regulations (e.g., FINTRAC, OFAC, FATF, PIPEDA, USA PATRIOT Act depending on region).
+ Experience with AML transaction monitoring tools (e.g., Actimize, Verafin, Quantexa, or similar).
+ Strong analytical and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
+ Excellent written communication skills for documentation and reporting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
