Ambulatory Optimization Coordinator
Job Summary Responsible for coordinating ambulatory system-level workflows related to quality and clinical optimization. Assists in the implementation of specific strategic initiatives and activities across the organization. Guides and enables multi-disciplinary teams to identify operational improvement opportunities, gather data, assess analytics, adopt best practices and implement and sustain changes. Focuses on multi-project initiatives at system, specialty, platform and regional levels to achieve improved patient and member experience and quality, increased staff satisfaction, and measurable quality, efficiency or financial impact. Job Duties + Provides operational administrative secondary support in the development of appropriate staffing models for ambulatory clinical business plans. + Assesses the stakeholder environment and works with project sponsors and leaders to build the support/relationships and will address improvement opportunities among staff, providers, and leaders. + Assists in the development, implementation, and provide guidelines to clinical operations teams related to optimal utilization of clinical roles at top of licensure. + Assists in the direction of department activities to meet patient access and efficiency goals. + Assists in providing direction to clinical operations regarding improved revenue generating opportunities utilizing nursing/care team resources. + Responsible for system level Key Performance Indicator/Metric reporting and trending. + Collaborates with access and clinical operations teams to optimize templates with utilization of nursing visits. + Provides ambulatory clinical collaboration with transformation initiatives related to optimization of ambulatory clinical workflows. + Streamlines clinical and operational processes and workflows to drive efficiency. + Participates with teams designed to improve care with identified patient populations upon request. + Identifies and applies relevant best practice improvement tools and solutions from internal best practices, literature, and external research and applies them to current projects. + Documents performance against established benchmarks. Analyze collected data, recommend improvement, collaborate with leadership to manage performance improvement projects. + Uses analytic, experiential and subjective assessment skills to identify substantial performance improvement opportunities within assigned project Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Position Details *Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).
