Ambulatory Applications Analyst III
Position OverviewMUST HAVE EPIC CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an Ambulatory Applications Analyst III to provide advanced support for ambulatory clinical and operational systems. This role is responsible for production support, maintaining high system availability, managing projects, improving processes, and ensuring strong quality assurance across supported applications. The Analyst evaluates existing policies and workflows, identifies opportunities for enhancement, and presents recommended solutions to senior leadership. Candidates must hold an active EpicCare Ambulatory certification, with additional Epic certifications considered a plus. The Ambulatory Applications Analyst III serves as a senior technical resource and plays a key role in UHS information technology retention and professional development initiatives. This position offers an opportunity for analysts to expand their expertise, contribute to system optimization, and support end‑users through complex issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts that enhance the overall customer experience and operational performance. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Epic Ambulatory Applications, UHS Information Technology Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities • Serves as a subject matter expert certified in multiple EHR applications or modules, providing workflow guidance and advanced troubleshooting.• Independently manages complex tickets, projects, and workstreams across multiple Epic modules and applications.• Translates technical system processes into clear explanations for diverse audiences, including leaders and end users.• Acts as a key technical resource supporting cross‑team initiatives, enhancements, and multi‑pillar projects.• Analyzes and presents complex information to stakeholders, applying strong analytical and presentation skills.• Identifies and recommends solutions using broad knowledge of application functionality, integrations, hardware considerations, and security requirements.• Develops integrated build best practices and represents the organization in industry forums such as HIMSS, UGM, and XGM.• Creates business cases, facilitates patient safety escalations, and resolves complex technical and security issues.• Leads governance facilitation and supports enterprise initiatives including testing, upgrades, change control, and major project transitions. Position Qualifications Minimum Required: + Current Epic certification + High School Diploma or equivalent + Three (3) years of clinical, Healthcare operations, revenue cycle, information technology or healthcare information technology experience. + Epic Experience required Preferred: + Bachelor's Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields) + Certification in one or more Epic applications. + Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or equivalent certification. ----- Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
