**Amazon XL Warehouse Associate** **Job Overview** You’ll be part of the Amazon warehouse team that handles the big and heavy stuff—those unique customer orders that weigh over 50 pounds: big screen TVs, furniture, appliances, and more. This role involves safely and efficiently moving, loading, and handling heavy, large, and bulky inventory throughout the warehouse through team lifting. Many shifts will have you working with your teammates to expertly handle heavy packages and products before they are sent along their delivery route. **Duties & Responsibilities** **Some of your duties may include:** 1. Receive and sort heavy and bulky inventory 2. Load boxes into trucks for shipment 3. Use technology such as computers and smart phones 4. View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks **You'll also need to be able to:** 1. Lift up to 49 pounds 2. Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds, using team lifting techniques 3. Stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently during shifts 4. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around 5. We provide hearing protection if you need it. 6. **Dress code.** Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and protective safety footwear are required in select business units.
