Our client, a leader in precision metal fabrication, is seeking an Amada Brake Press Operator to join their team. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting skilled operators and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Amada Brake Press Operator

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $25 - $35

Shift: 1st, swing, and weekend shifts available

What's the Job?

Perform basic machine setup and assist in maintaining quality and workflow. Run proven setups and make minor tooling/controller changes to maintain tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, shop math, and basic “K” factors. Utilize measurement tools such as dial calipers, squares, and protractors. Collaborate with team members and support cross-functional tasks as needed.

What's Needed?

Minimum 1 year of experience in a precision sheet metal environment. 2-3 years of experience as a Brake Operator. Ability to read and understand work instructions and blueprints. Familiarity with third-angle projection and common print callouts. Competent with measurement tools and basic arithmetic.
