Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) has established several diagnostic strategic partnerships in support of Immunology. We are seeking to hire a motivated candidate for the position of Alliance Manager at level of Manager/Principal Scientist, based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The Alliance Manager will report directly to the Diagnostic Development Leader, Immunology and own the success of alliance management with our diagnostic partners. As an Alliance Manager, you will be the primary contact and overall relationship lead for the Immunology-Dx organization with responsibility for the success of at least one (and often multiple) major JJIM diagnostic partnerships. This leadership role on steering committees will be key to the success of these alliances. As the primary interface with our external partners, you will implement the strategy, tactical execution, account growth, and coordination of our partnership. Success in this role will require coordination of diagnostic global teams, including partners in Commercial, Regulatory, Business Development and Project Management. **Responsibilities** + Leader and accountable JJIM member for JJIM partnership alliance(s), ensuring overall success of these programs. + Maintain a strong relationship/partnership, through regular discussions and collaborations across all levels of the partner’s organization (from technical to executive). + Work jointly with partners to identify and scope out new project opportunities where JJIM is uniquely positioned to act as a valuable partner. + Collaborate with partners to understand their strategic goals and overall product roadmaps, and ensure that this context is incorporated into JJIM’s project scoping and delivery. + Work with JJIM project teams and project managers assigned to oversee and track the progress of projects and their execution to ensure high quality and timely deliverables. + Be an excellent communicator and interpreter of technical and non-technical data, synthesizing complex information from disparate sources into concise and clear narratives, both internally to JJIM and externally with other partners. + Experienced in constructive decision making, resolution of conflict, and the building of effective top-down and bottom-up business relationships. + Understanding of the proper application of risk management techniques to ensure business priorities and quality standards are met. + Track project costs and forecast project revenue and align with project management organization (PMO). + Run internal governance and stakeholder meetings, connecting internal stakeholders to external partners, and driving programs forward. + Travel as necessary (add % of time this is expected to be). **Desired Experience and Capabilities** + Bachelor’s degree with 3 years minimal of relevant work experience in partner-facing roles (e.g. alliance management, business development, strategic account management). + MBA, M.S., and/or PhD is a plus. + Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mobilize people across the organization, and to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment. + Strong aptitude for cultivating working relationships at all levels of management, both internally and externally. + Experience defining and maintaining strategic direction while ensuring successful execution of projects across oncology. + Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization across various functions and locations. + Familiarity with diagnostic technologies and product landscape in areas including, but not limited to, next generation sequencing, immunohistochemistry, and PCR.
