Within the framework of the Primary Sub-Contract with ATrS (dated 27 March 2008) the jobholder provides instruction and other training services to both RAF and ATrS trainees in order to ensure delivery of current and future FSTA (Voyager) Military differences synthetic and classroom-based training.
This is a vital role that will enable the customer trainees to be able to perform his duties in all geographical and tactical environments worldwide upon completion of practical and OJT raining provided by the RAF and ATrS following the ground based and synthetic training provided by TTSL.
The key focus is to ensure we provide a consistent quality of training that is both auditable and of a standard equal to or better than that provided by military instruction.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Plan and execute all types of ground based and synthetic Military Differences training for Aircrew (Pilots and MSOs) to ensure training objectives are effectively met.
Assess the performance of crew members during training and debrief crew members ensuring that all strengths and weaknesses are discussed and fully understood.
Be able to be innovative and overcome deficiencies in both equipment and time scale to achieve the best possible training results.
Deliver all technical classroom instruction, as required by the Head of Training.
Ensure that training courseware and documentation is maintained and current to achieve the training objectives required
Ensure that action required as a result of any InVal and ExVal procedures are addressed
Skills and experience
Ex military
Previously held Military Instructor Qualification.
Previous experience as ground school instructor in both classroom and synthetic training equipment.
A diplomatic and personable character
A Pro-active attitude to problem resolution.
A sound knowledge of AAR operations and procedures (ATP56B) operational equipment.
Experience of instructing Military Aircrew in AAR operations
Previously held a military instructor qualification appropriate to the training to be delivered and/or
Evidence of having worked as an instructor in a military training environment appropriate to the training to be delivered
