Share this jobOur client is looking for a Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join them on a long-term contract until October 2026 – with real potential to extend or even go permanent. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a dedicated production team working on a variety of aircraft in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Role: Aircraft Fitter
Location: Filton – 100% onsite
Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:30-15:45 (long weekends, every weekend!)
Clearance: BPSS required to start
Hourly Rate: £26.92 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you’ll be doing:
Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings Complete tasks to the required standards General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholesWhat we’re looking for:
Hands-on aviation experience Apprenticeship in engineering discipline NVQ L.2 + 3 in engineering discipline Completed a work based or time served apprenticeship Strong self-motivation and clear communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A proactive approach to continuous improvement Commitment to upholding high Health & Safety standardsA pre-employment medical will be required before starting this role.
