**Job Title: Aircraft Assembly - Lay Up/Plycut** **Job Description** Join our team in building composite parts with precision and expertise. This role involves using hand layup techniques and a laser system to ensure accurate ply placement. You will be responsible for smoothing layers, vacuum bagging, and performing in-process inspections. Your skills in using precision measuring tools and recording accurate data are essential. **Responsibilities** + Build composite parts using hand layup techniques. + Utilize laser systems for precise ply placement. + Fit and smooth layers to eliminate wrinkles, air pockets, and voids. + Vacuum bag parts for various temperature conditions. + Conduct in-process inspections and read precision measuring tools. + Record time worked accurately using Epicor. + Inspect parts visually before vacuum bagging and perform leak tests. + Mark identifying information on parts and handle associated paperwork. + Use chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as required. + Clean and prepare bond tools, unbag and demold parts, and maintain cleanliness. + Adhere to safety and security procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions. + Adapt to changes and manage competing demands effectively. **Essential Skills** + Experience in assembly, production, and lay up. + Proficiency in hand layup of composite materials. + Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings. + Knowledge of vacuum bagging techniques and precision trimming. + Experience with visual inspection of parts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work under minimum supervision. + Adaptability to changing work environments and unexpected events. + Attention to detail and neatness in work areas. **Why Work Here?** We encourage creative thinking and exploring solutions beyond the norm.
