Job DescriptionKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.To ensure that the aircons are working effectively and efficiently.To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.To maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader at all times.To actively participate in the energy conservation programmes of the Hotel.To utilise or recommend usage of all environmentally-friendly products in the work place.To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.To conduct regular inspections of air conditioning systems throughout the hotel premises.To assist in the installation of new air conditioning units when required.To maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.To stay updated on the latest air conditioning technologies and energy-efficient practices.To collaborate with other engineering team members on cross-functional projects as needed.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
Certificate in Airconditioning or relevant HVAC qualificationMinimum of three years of work experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repairValid work permit or eligibility to work in the countryProficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematicsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as requiredPreferred:
Additional certifications in related fields (e.g., refrigeration, electrical systems)Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environmentKnowledge of energy-efficient practices and green technologies in HVAC systemsFamiliarity with building management systems (BMS)Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report writingUnderstanding of occupational health and safety regulationsAbility to work at heights and in confined spacesCustomer service orientation with a professional demeanourPhysical Requirements:
