Job Description:

The Air Traffic Training Lead will oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that ensure the readiness and proficiency of personnel operating within the National Airspace System (NAS). This role requires a strong background in instructional design, FAA air traffic control procedures, and large-scale training program management. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader capable of guiding training teams, collaborating with FAA stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Opportnities by Level

Mid-Level (5-8 years)

Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of air traffic training programsAssist in creating training content, simulations, and performance assessmentsDeliver classroom or virtual instruction to operational and technical personnelMaintain training records and contribute to program improvement efforts

Senior (8-10 years)

Lead training design and delivery for complex NAS programsDevelop advanced training modules and evaluation methodsMentor junior trainers and coordinate with FAA stakeholders on training strategiesRecommend program enhancements to improve learner outcomes


Lead / SME (10+ years; ideal 20+)

Direct strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale FAA air traffic training programsLead and manage teams of 10+ trainers, instructional designers, and technical expertsServe as primary advisor to FAA leadership on training effectiveness and operational readinessEnsure training programs adapt to evolving technology, procedures, and safety requirements

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
