About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations – Navigation Services Air Traffic Operations team as an Air Traffic Operations Intelligence Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As an Air Traffic Operations Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and administrative guidance on policies, procedures, and problem resolution for air traffic activities. In this role, you will specialize in utilizing FTS simulation models, conducting in-depth analyses to identify improvements, and developing strategies to enhance air traffic flow and reduce delays. Additionally, you will also be leading projects related to air traffic operations intelligence, facilitate workshops, prepare detailed reports, and analyze route networks to ensure safety and efficiency.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Provide technical advice and administrative guidance regarding policies, procedures, and problem resolution for air traffic activities.

Provide specialised support for the utilization of airspace, ground, and FIR fast-time simulation models.

Conduct in-depth analysis of air traffic operations to identify areas for improvements within the airspace, routes, flight procedures, working methods, etc. with the aim of ensuring the highest possible capacity, efficiency and safety levels.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance air traffic flow and reduce delays based on in-depth operational analysis.

Lead and manage projects related to air traffic operations intelligence ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss air traffic operations intelligence findings and recommendations with both internal and external stakeholders.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations on air traffic operations intelligence findings to senior management and internal/external stakeholders.

Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in air traffic management technologies and methodologies to ensure the environment within Qatar is benefiting the airline to the greatest extent possible.

Analyse and validate the route network, deployment and utilisation of free route airspace, civil/military airspace interface including utilisation of flexible use of airspace to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Conduct operational reviews following unusual events (e.g. severe weather) to identify improvement opportunities.
