**Job Title: Air Conditioning Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician for a first shift position from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday. This role involves the installation of after-market automotive air conditioners, as well as reconditioning, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install after-market automotive air conditioners.
+ Recondition automotive air conditioning systems.
+ Pull vacuums and charge systems.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, wire, and test air conditioning units.
+ Familiarity with refrigerants including R-12, R-134A, and R-22.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with vacuum, troubleshooting, and automotive repair.
+ Knowledge of maintenance techniques for hydraulic, diesel, and mechanical systems.
+ Proficient in the use of hand tools such as wrenches (3/8” to ¾”), screwdrivers (flat-head and Phillips-head #6-#8), socket sets (¼” and 3/8” drive), needle nose pliers, channel locks, side cutters, and tape measure.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
+ Ability to perform on-site interviews effectively.

**Work Environment**
The position is based in a hot, dusty, and dirty shop atmosphere, requiring the use of various standard tools and equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Alabama.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
