The famous Caribe Hilton is looking for their next Air Conditioning/Refrigerator Mechanic to join their Maintenance team.

The Caribe Hilton has welcomed guests since 1949 and has 17 acres of tropical landscaping, nine restaurants, island-inspired rooms, spa, and oceanfront pool complex, all right on the beach.

The ideal candidate will currently hold both EPA Certification and Puerto Rico required Refrigeration/HVAC licensing. Ideal Candidate will have 2 years of Maintenance Engineer and Customer Service experience, be reliable, adaptable, have high volume experience, computer knowledge, the willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment and to be able to communicate in Spanish and English and understand the languages.

 

Shift Pattern: Full Availability. Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week. Weekends and Holidays are required.

Pay Rate: $18.36 per hour

What will I be doing?

As an AC/Refrigerator Mechanic, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Reports to the A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion.

Attains all refrigeration and A/C trouble reports on daily basis. Guest room trouble is given priorityWorks closely with A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance programFollows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructionsCarries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawingsAble to fault find and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and building control systems. Good electrical knowledgeKnowledge of BMS systems. - Experience of reciprocating Chillers and Air handling plant and cold roomsFamiliar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmesFlexible and team player – able to work on own initiativeGood understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicalsMakes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properlyCarries out guest room maintenance according to schedule programmeWorks closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and partiesDaily refrigeration log sheet to be filled and temperature to be recordedWorks closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by supervisorKeeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keep their working place neat and cleanAttains all departmental meetings and training classes
