The Opportunity:
The Air Battle Manager (ABM) is a critical component of all US Air Force air operations, responsible for the dynamic management of air combat missions. Utilizing advanced command and control systems, the ABM directs airborne assets, coordinates with ground forces, and ensures the effective execution of mission objectives. This role requires exceptional situational awareness, rapid decision-making skills, and the ability to operate under high-stress conditions.
To support the USAF in meeting vital airborne command and control mission requirements, CACI is seeking a highly experienced Air Battle Manager Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence (C3I) team. Responsibilities:
Advise warfighters in effective execution of mission objectives through direction of airborne assets and coordination of ground/sea forces using advanced command and control systems
Support USAF development and implementation of air battle plans in coordination with mission objectives
Monitor and assess battlefield environments to adapt strategies real-time
Identify capability gaps and develop C3I DOTMLPF-P requirements
Provide subject matter expertise for Air Battle Management capability development, gap analysis, and experiment planning
Provide doctrinal expertise across all C3I Warfighting Functions
Maintain clear and concise communication with warfighters and stakeholders
Support leadership in briefing/debriefing of objectives, strategies, and outcomes
Research and incorporate data from military policy, campaign strategies, and war plans
Analyze Command and Control mission task completion and achievement of objectives
Qualifications:
Required:
20+ years of experience in U.S. military agency (military or civilian) in progressive command and staff positions
4-year Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Military Science)
Significant experience in air operations, preferably in a command and control role
Proven track record of successful mission management and execution
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Proficiency in using command and control systems and avionics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Desired:
Advanced degree in related field
Relevant military or civilian certifications in air battle management
Combatant Command Experience
Experience serving on Service/Joint staff
Experience serving at Major HQ
ABM military command

The proposed salary range for this position is:
