The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is currently seeking a Artificial Intelligence Training Specialist – in the Digital Services & Solutions/Artificial Intelligence (AI) Department The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state’s wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services. Want to know more about our AWARD-WINNING Authority visit: https://gta.georgia.gov/ JOB SUMMARY: The Artificial Intelligence Training Specialist supports the statewide artificial intelligence (AI) workforce enablement program by planning, coordinating, and delivering AI training initiatives for state agencies. Working closely with the Director of Artificial Intelligence, this role helps translate Georgia’s AI strategy and governance into practical, role-based learning experiences that build confidence, competence, and responsible use of approved AI tools. This position is responsible for coordinating training on GTA-approved AI tools, managing the AI Pilot’s License training program, and delivering in-person and virtual workshops that address both foundational and advanced AI topics. The AI Training Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring training programs are accessible, scalable, and aligned with Georgia’s Responsible AI principles. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: AI Training Program Delivery ● Coordinate and support training for state agencies on GTA-approved AI tools, ensuring consistent messaging, responsible use, and alignment with statewide policy and standards. ● Assist in the development and delivery of role-based AI training tailored to different audiences, including executives, program staff, legal and compliance teams, technologists, and communications professionals. ● Support the creation of training materials, learning paths, and supporting documentation in collaboration with subject matter experts and external partners. AI Pilot’s License Program Management ● Manage day-to-day operations of the AI Pilot’s License training program, including registration, enrollment tracking, communications, and certification processes. ● Coordinate with training partners and platform providers to ensure smooth program execution and accurate participant records. ● Monitor participation, completion rates, and feedback to support continuous improvement of the program. Workshops and Advanced Learning ● Plan and support in-person and virtual workshops focused on advanced AI topics, emerging use cases, and applied learning. ● Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, materials, facilitators, and participant communications. ● Support hands-on learning experiences that help agencies move from awareness to practical application. Coordination and Continuous Improvement ● Serve as a liaison between the Office of Artificial Intelligence, state agencies, and training vendors to ensure training needs are understood and addressed. ● Track training outcomes, participation metrics, and feedback to inform program enhancements and leadership reporting. ● Support the evolution of Georgia’s AI training offerings as tools, policies, and workforce needs change. CORE Competencies · Attention to detail and follow-through · Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement · Learner-centered mindset · Adaptability in a fast-evolving technology landscape · Commitment to responsible and ethical AI use · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. · Adaptability and continuous learning · Clear written and verbal communication skills · Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple training activities simultaneously. · High level of reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Instructional Design, Education Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field AND Two (2) years of experience in training coordination, instructional delivery, data annotation, machine learning support, workforce enablement, or a related discipline WITH: + Experience coordinating and delivering training, workforce development, or professional learning programs, preferably in the public sector or a large organization. o Experience translating technical concepts into clear instructional content for diverse user groups. o Experience with learning management systems, registration platforms, and collaboration tools. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: (Preference will be given to candidates who, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience): ● Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI tools, or emerging technologies. ● Experience supporting role-based or competency-based training programs. ● Experience coordinating in-person workshops, virtual training sessions, or hybrid learning programs. ● Knowledge of public-sector training environments, governance, or compliance considerations. COMPENSATION/WORKER TYPE/ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Office Location: 47 Trinity Ave, Atlanta GA Worker Type: Hybrid – (in-office: 2-3 days per week) Target Hiring Salary Range: $65,100 - $83,500 *Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
