The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm’s data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially valuable outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.
As Vice President, APAC AI Strategy & Enablement, the individual plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of the region’s AI strategy. Partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the Vice President helps drive the creation of AI roadmaps, facilitates the identification and commercialization of high-value AI use cases, and contributes to the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance client value, operational efficiency, and risk management. This role requires a strong understanding of wholesale banking and asset management business domains, as well as expertise in data and AI capabilities—including data strategy, traditional and frontier AI (GenAI/ML), and agentic AI—deployed safely and compliantly within a Financial Services environment.
The Vice President acts as a driver of responsible innovation, helping the region unlock commercial value and operational efficiency through analytics and AI solutions, while ensuring alignment with global AI governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business and functional teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions. Support the development and execution of the APAC AI strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities. Facilitate ideation workshops and discovery sessions to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases. Contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps, project plans, and success metrics for AI initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure successful delivery. Promote AI literacy and continuous learning across teams. Support stakeholder engagement by crafting compelling materials and communicating progress to senior leaders, ensuring buy-in and momentum. Uphold the highest standards in data management, governance, and regulatory adherence, safeguarding trust and integrity in every initiative. Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory shifts in the APAC region, positioning the team at the forefront of innovation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related quantitative field Formal training or certification with 8+ years of experience in AI, data science, technology strategy, or digital transformation within financial services. Solid understanding of financial services business lines and corporate functions. Experience delivering AI/ML solutions from concept to production. Familiarity with GenAI, LLMs, ML workflows, and agentic systems. Knowledge of data management, governance, and regulatory frameworks. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in cross-functional, regional teams. Ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Understanding of APAC regulatory landscape and cultural diversity.
