AI Security Solution Engineer
Microsoft is investing over $1 billion annually in cybersecurity and research to empower customers to confidently adopt cloud technologies and modernise their platforms. As part of this mission, the Security Solutions Area (SSA) is expanding its AI Security capabilities through a strategic evolution in FY26. This includes a sharpened focus on technical depth, customer proximity, and innovation leadership. We are seeking a passionate and experienced AI Security Solution Engineer to join our EMEA GBB team. This role is pivotal in driving technical wins across Microsoft’s AI Security portfolio—including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Purview Data Security (consumptive), and Defender for AI—by combining deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and a proactive, customer-obsessed mindset. **Responsibilities** **Role Purpose** As a Solution Engineer, you will act as a technical pathfinder and trusted advisor, helping customers realise the value of Microsoft’s AI Security solutions. You will lead technical engagements, shape deals, and influence product direction by bringing the voice of the customer into Microsoft’s engineering and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. **Key Responsibilities** **Technical Leadership & Execution** + Lead technical presentations, demos, workshops, PoCs, and pilots to showcase the value of Microsoft’s AI Security solutions. + Drive technical decision-making and unblock complex sales scenarios in collaboration with STU/ATU teams. + Translate customer use cases into repeatable IP and scalable best practices. + Provide deep competitive insights (e.g. PANW, Wiz, CrowdStrike, AWS, GCP) to shape win strategies and takeout plans. + Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Multi-Cloud Security and Purview consumptive services. **Customer & Field Engagement** + Partner with account teams to shape deals, coach on winning use cases, and support DWR/Winroom discussions. + Lead handoffs to Customer Success or Partners to ensure deployment, usage, and adoption. + Build and nurture communities across customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. + Influence product roadmap and GTM evolution through structured feedback (e.g. UAT frameworks). **Thought Leadership & Enablement** + Create and share thought leadership content (e.g. blogs, whitepapers, conference talks). + Mentor peers and field teams, contributing to readiness and capability building. + Embrace a growth mindset—learn, adapt, and share knowledge continuously. **Core Priorities & Success Indicators** + Accelerate Growth: Drive adoption of Defender for Cloud, Purview Data Security, and Defender for AI. Deliver technical wins and customer learnings. + Win Against Competitors: Demonstrate Microsoft’s technical differentiation in competitive scenarios. + Scale Through Partners: Engage partners in 60%+ of technical opportunities. + Compliance & Trust: Model integrity, complete compliance training, and support risk mitigation. + Diversity & Inclusion: Actively contribute to an inclusive culture through allyship, mentoring, and inclusive practices. **Qualifications** **Required** + 5+ years in technology-related sales or technical roles. + 3+ years of experience in securely architecting and deploying security workloads. + Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI technologies. + Proven experience in enterprise security solutions, especially Microsoft’s cybersecurity stack. **Preferred** + 7+ years in security or cloud solution sales. + Experience influencing without authority and driving change across virtual teams. + Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. + Willingness to travel as required.
