Rite-Solutions is seeking an AI\/ML Software Engineer for full-time support in a hybrid capacity at NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA.\n
The Program\n
The AI\/ML Software Engineer will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios. Additionally, program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. As a Senior Developer on this program, you will be tasked with implementing new features within a critical line of business application that support mission assurance and operational management functions. \n
The Role\n
As an AI\/ML Software Engineer on this program, you will use your expertise and experience in the following areas and activities to deliver solutions and services to our customer: \n\nWorking from requirements specifications to develop or modify software applications\nDesigning, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documenting application features and changes\nReviewing and assessing existing enterprise applications, to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment \nParticipating in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified \nParticipating in security architecture reviews of large enterprise systems \nParticipating in the development of new systems throughout the entire application lifecycle: requirements analysis & definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment \nParticipating in activities that ensure the successful use of these systems including developing documentation, test scripts, and training materials \nWorking in an agile team environment participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups \n\n

Required Qualifications\/Skills:\n\nU.S. Citizenship Active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS\/SCI Clearance. \nDoDD 8140.01 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher. \nAI\/ML engineering experience that includes designing, developing, and deploying production-scale machine learning systems and infrastructure \nML systems experience in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML models \nProficiency with development toolsets such as Git version control, automated testing frameworks, CI\/CD pipelines, and GitLab \nData Engineering experience with designing, implementing, supporting, and analyzing enterprise-scale applications that Extract\/Transform\/Load (ETL systems, data streaming, and distributed data processing technologies or frameworks \nStrong database and infrastructure experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (Azure), and containerization technologies \nExperience developing custom visualization solutions for data analysis, monitoring dashboards and reporting interfaces \nComprehensive knowledge in definition and management of software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation. \nExperience with and proficient with at least one of the following Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages: C#, Java, or Python. \nExperience with ML engineering: \nMLOps and model lifecycle management \nCloud-native ML platform development \nAPI design and integration for ML services \n\n
Desired Skills\/Qualifications:\n\nExperience building ML systems for cybersecurity applications (threat detection, anomaly detection, security analytics platforms) \nExperience working in Azure preferably Azure Government \nExperience working on custom development software projects. \nExperience working with DoD customers. \nExperience working on cybersecurity projects. \nAdditional experience in the following technology areas is preferred: \nKubernetes, Docker, Helm for ML workload orchestration \nKubeflow, MLFlow or custom pipeline frameworks \nELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash) \nPowerBI \nApache Jena Fuseki (SPARQL) \nApache NiFi \nContinuous Integration\/Continuous Development (CI\/CD) pipeline \nAutomated Testing tools and processes used to support various testing requirements including data, UI, load\/performance, security, and contract testing. \n\n
