**Summary**
If you are an AI Engineer Intern professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers meaningful, hands-on experience within Emerson’s global Systems and Software organization. You will contribute to the development and validation of an AI-powered image search proof of concept (PoC) designed to identify uploaded images and retrieve relevant sales collateral based on recognized subjects, categories, or context. This internship provides real-world exposure to AI development, computer vision concepts, secure coding practices, and automation technologies—supported by mentorship from experienced leaders and collaboration across teams.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Design and implement a small-scale AI proof of concept using internal datasets to demonstrate understanding of core AI concepts, computer vision models, and data structuring and tagging.
+ Apply and test image models, organize and tag sales documents, and develop logic that matches image tags to appropriate collateral, including curating a high-quality image dataset for testing and training.
+ Explore potential risks across the AI development pipeline—such as insecure data handling or exposure of sensitive information—and document these findings while integrating simple, practical mitigations into the PoC.
+ Deliver a functioning AI PoC that can identify uploaded images and return relevant sales collateral, reflecting foundational knowledge of image recognition in AI contexts.
+ Document the full project lifecycle, including tools used, lessons learned, secure development practices applied, and recommended enhancements for future development.
+ Support the development, testing, and documentation of Python‑ and Robocorp‑based RPA bots that automate operational tasks in collaboration with the automation team.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Availability to complete a **minimum of 480 hours** (open to both required and voluntary internships).
+ **Ability to start on March 9, 2026.**
+ Strong interest in cybersecurity, automation, AI concepts, and software development.
+ Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts through coursework, academic projects, thesis research, or practical experience.
+ Familiarity with web development languages such as HTML5, CSS, C#, or React JS.
+ Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems and contribute to shared goals.
+ Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python with the ability to write clear, readable, and well-documented code.
+ Familiarity with RPA tools (preferably Robocorp) and foundational knowledge of task automation, workflow orchestration, and error handling.

+ Experience with modern web development frameworks or technologies.
