We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in developing and deploying GenAI solutions in enterprise environments. This role focuses on leveraging cloud-native AI services to power intelligent digital experiences on Lenovo.com and Motorola.com. You'll work with modern foundation models, build orchestration flows using LLM frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing AI applications. This position will be hybrid 3 days onsite at our Morrisville, NC location.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement GenAI-powered business applications at enterprise scale, across public and private cloud environments Fine-tune and prompt-engineer foundation models (open-source and proprietary) for customer-specific use cases Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques using vector databases like FAISS, Pinecone, or OpenSearch Build AI agents and orchestration flows using tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Haystack Deploy and monitor models using cloud services like AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock), Azure (OpenAI), and GCP (Vertex AI) Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, ML workflows, and version control for models using MLOps best practices Implement observability and monitoring solutions for GenAI systems in production Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business owners and architects Act as a technical consultant to clarify solutions with stakeholders and drive alignmentBasic Qualifications
2 years of Experience with AI/ML development and deployment in Cloud Environments Proficiency in Python, Pytorch or TensorFlow Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field requiredPreferred Qualifications
Project Experience with eCommerce sites or use cases Experience with API integration and orchestration Experience with GenAI solutions, including model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation Familiarity with foundation models, tokenization, embeddings, transformer architecture, and diffusion models Hands-on experience with Cloud AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes Ability to create scalable AI pipelines and manage model lifecycle (training, deployment, rollback) Experience implementing responsible AI practices, including hallucination reduction and guardrail techniques· Cultural Competency working across Chinese, American, Desi, European, and South American, and cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $90-105k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This is a hybrid position 3 days per week at our Morrisville location.
