HPE’s Living Progress team sets HPE’s sustainability strategy. Our mission is to enhance the business case for HPE products and services, deliver world class reporting, and drive leadership through our sustainability strategy. The Living Progress team is part of HPE’s Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs (OLAA). OLAA serves as the backbone for HPE and drives the employee experience.
The AI Efficiency Intern will work on HPE’s Corporate Affairs Living Progress team full-time for 12 weeks. You will work closely with senior team members to support global customer engagements, strategic customer partnerships, and AI Efficiency thought-leadership activities. Through your work, you will be interfacing primarily with technologists whose expertise ranges from IT efficiency, sustainability, circular economy, and HPE product knowledge. You will be exposed to a variety of skill sets and knowledge areas specifically within the technology field as it relates to the sustainability and the circular economy.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of technical, analytic, project and time management, as well as communication skills. The role will frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. In addition, the AI Efficiency Intern will work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. You will be mentored through this process by experienced team members. However, this internship provides the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and exercise your internal and external communication skills. You will gain insight into the level of coordination required by large companies to align technical specifications, IT efficiency and sustainability attributes.
Responsibilities:
Support engagements with customers, governments, stakeholders and investors to showcase HPE’s leadership in the topics of AI/IT efficiency and sustainabilityAlign customer and stakeholder insights to cross-functional HPE organizations that manage and implement aspects of topic areasPerform research on various aspects of AI efficiency, with particular focus on data and software efficiency attributesCollaborate with the Living Progress team to recommend and implement changes to HPE’s technical point of view on AI efficiency.Project management including developing a project timeline and monitoring execution against that timelineEducation & Experience:
College junior, senior, or masters’ student pursuing computer science, computer engineering, data engineering, software engineering, or technology efficiencyKnowledge & Skills:
