**Summary**
If you are looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Control Systems and Software (CSS) organization, this is an exciting opportunity for you! As an AI & Automation Engineering Intern supporting the PSS Technology Manila’s DeltaV Software Development group, you will gain hands‑on experience building intelligent automation tools and AI‑powered workflows that accelerate our software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your work will contribute to AI‑driven requirement generation, automated environment provisioning, test automation, defect intelligence, and release readiness optimization. Emerson interns are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders. There is strong potential to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of ways by exploring opportunities aligned with your interests and academic background.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Developing automation scripts and CI/CD hooks for environment provisioning, health checks, smoke tests, and test‑data workflows, with opportunities to apply AI‑driven anomaly detection and ML‑based data selection.
+ Contributing to IaC modules, reliability tooling, and test automation enhancements, including exploring AI‑assisted test generation or prioritization.
+ Consolidating quality and security scanner outputs into unified dashboards and supporting AI‑based risk grouping and scoring for release readiness.
+ Building utilities that evaluate story acceptance criteria and Definition of Ready quality using NLP‑style rule engines or lightweight AI models to improve requirement clarity.
+ Supporting triage automation by gathering diagnostic data and helping prototype classifiers for auto‑tagging bugs, tests, and requirements.
+ Developing policy‑as‑code rules, predictive readiness indicators, and dashboards that use AI‑driven pattern detection to highlight hotspots across the PLAN → TEST → EXECUTE → DEPLOY flow.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
+ Ability to complete at least **480 internship hours** (open to both required and voluntary internships).
+ **Ability to start on March 9, 2026.**
+ General exposure to artificial intelligence concepts through academic projects, thesis work, or practical experience.
+ Basic programming experience in Python or C#, plus familiarity with Git and software development fundamentals.
+ Strong interest in AI, DevOps, automation, and systems engineering.
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Familiarity with REST APIs or JSON processing using Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
+ Exposure to CI/CD workflows and basic networking or environment setup.
+ Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
