Description:The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team is seeking a high energy team member with working knowledge in project execution, agile development methodologies, systems engineering, and AI as a servant leader for the organization’s Scum Masters (SMs) and Agility Coaches (ACs). In this role you will be part of the LAIC portfolio consisting of a variety of skilled colleagues including full stack developers, data engineers, machine learning / AI specialists, product managers, data scientists, and other agility mentors. Your focus will be on agile team operations, project execution for all LAIC development teams and the functional support of the LAIC Agility Team.
This role will span both agile and leadership skill areas. Example work might include:
- Champion agile concepts across the organization
- Act as a program-level agility coach in support of LAIC programs by marrying concepts from AI, systems engineering, and program strategy to streamline program execution and maximize delivered value
- Host, facilitate, continuously evaluate, and improve upon regular team and organization ceremonies and business rhythms
- Teach, mentor, and coach other Agility Coaches and Scrum Masters
- Work with direct reports to curate individual learning plans and career paths
- Work with leaders across the organization to understand and meet agile support staffing needs
- Work with teams to understand possible areas of operational improvement and identify safe experiments to drive continuous improvement
- Collect feedback on and continuously improve the processes and tools of the Agility Team
- Manage Power Ups and ELDP rotations to foster developing scrum masters and meet staffing needs
- Recognize and distinguish between culture and process problems and aid in their resolution
- Collaborate with other agility coaches and scrum masters within LM to learn and leverage the experience and knowledge of your peers

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience leading and coaching agile development teams
• 4+ years of experience working with agile development teams in R&D and Artificial Intelligence
• One or more certifications in Scrum Mastery and Agile Coaching
Desired Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain the trade-offs between possible software solutions
• Extremely good problem solving and organizational skills
• Passion and ability to learn and communicate both advanced concepts and high-level strategy
• Demonstrated excellent team building and interpersonal skills, capable of relationship building with customers and employees at all levels and across multiple geographic locations.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with senior technical staff
• Familiarity with Agile Development Concepts, General understanding of AI and Machine Learning Concepts, Experience in leading small technical teams
• Familiarity with GitLab, JIRA, MURAL, Confluence, Teams
• Strong understanding in the application of state-of-the-art technologies in one or more of these areas of interest: Artificial Intelligence, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), Big Data techniques; Data Fusion; Machine Learning; and Data Analytics
• Experience in defining Research & Development program objectives, preparing and presenting research plans and results to senior level management and customers, developing R&D proposals, and planning, implementation, and tracking of R&D projects.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $131,000 - $227,125. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
