Agro Cost Analysis and Productivity Specialist;农业成本分析及生产力专员
Overview Agro Potato Cost Analyst & Productivity position is to strengthen support for crop sanction processes, develop robust "should cost" models, and provide in-depth cost analysis to drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives. This position plays a critical role in enhancing cost accuracy by leverage PepsiCo China co-farming model, driving sustainable cost reduction, and supporting data-based decision-making across China’s Agro operations. The position will develop robust cost models, support the crop sanction and potato pricing process, and drive continuous productivity improvement aligned with the company’s double productivity agenda. By providing deep cost insights and benchmarking, this role enables better alignment between operational performance and financial targets, supports sourcing and planning decisions, and enhances overall value creation across the potato supply chain. The role acts as a key bridge between Agro, Finance, Procurement, Manufactures and GBS functions. Responsibilities 1. Cost Management and Analysis (Agro annual potato spending is around $200M;), • Build process KPI, tracking the progress weekly/monthly/quarterly, and analysis cost impact. • Setting business process KPI & review system for all the cost elements associated with agricultural inputs, operations, and outputs, supporting each crop season sanction and pricing strategy development • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable insights to develop Agro annual productivity action items • Develop “should be” cost model for agro supply E2E (farming, logistic, storage, handling) to drive cost reduction. 2. Productivity Support (annual around $10MM target) • Collaborate with agricultural teams to measure and enhance productivity metrics. • Organize quarterly productivity projects review meeting and golden ideas case sharing activities. • Enhance the productivity culture building and organize annual recongaized meeting. • Provide financial analyses for initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, or optimizing resource use. • Track and validate productivity savings achieved against set targets and update in the powersteering system. 3. Budgeting and Forecasting (self-farm & co-farm 60%) • Assist in preparing Agro co-farm budgets and financial forecasts related to agricultural activities. • Incorporate expected productivity improvements into cost projections. 4. Financial Modeling and Scenario Planning • Develop financial models (e.g. partner grower) to assess the impact of various cost and productivity scenarios. • Support decision-making for investments in new technologies, methods, or processes. 5. Data Collection and Reporting • Gather data from various sources, including field operations, co-farm, procurement, storage, and production teams. • Prepare regular reports on costs, productivity trends, and efficiency metrics. • Monitor the potato market price trend to help make procurement adjustments • Ensure compliance with reporting standards and corporate guidelines. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with agronomy, supply chain, planning, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on cost and productivity goals. • Work with finance and operations teams to standardize cost accounting practices and methodologies. Qualifications ·Bachelor or above degree ·Degree in Finance, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Economics ·3–5 years of experience in cost analysis, FP&A, supply chain finance, or agribusiness roles ·Experience working in multinational environments or cross-functional teams ·Prior exposure to agriculture cost structures, crop sourcing, or manufacturing costing is a plus ·Familiarity with sustainability-related cost assessments is a bonus ·Strong analytical skills to develop and maintain cost models ·Ability to interpret financial data and link it with operational performance ·Skilled in identifying cost drivers and operational inefficiencies
