Join us and let’s get started. **Job Description** **Position Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert** with over 15 years of expertise in designing, managing, and maintaining **AGL systems for airside operations** across Pan India. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of airfield lighting systems, regulatory compliance, and advanced technologies to ensure safe and efficient airside operations. This role requires technical proficiency, project management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for complex airside projects. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead the design and optimization of AGL systems, including runway, taxiway, and apron lighting. + Ensure compliance with international and local standards, such as ICAO, FAA, and EASA regulations. + Conduct system analysis, load calculations, and simulations to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. + Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AGL projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, contractors, and airport authorities. + Manage procurement processes for AGL equipment and materials. + Provide expert guidance on AGL system design, installation, testing, and commissioning. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AGL systems. + Evaluate and implement innovative technologies, such as LED lighting and smart control systems, to enhance operational efficiency. + Ensure AGL systems meet safety and operational requirements for airside operations. + Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability. + Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory audits and certifications. + Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth within the team. + Lead technical workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities in AGL engineering. + Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored AGL solutions. + Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to stakeholders. + Act as a liaison between regulatory authorities and project teams to ensure smooth project execution. **Qualifications** **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field. + Minimum 15 years of experience in AGL systems, with a focus on airside infrastructure. + Expertise in AGL design, installation, and maintenance. + Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and AGL-specific design tools. + Strong understanding of power distribution systems, control systems, and energy-efficient technologies. + Relevant certifications such as ICAO AGL Certification, Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent are highly desirable. + Strong leadership and team management capabilities. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Analytical and problem-solving abilities. **Additional Information** **Preferred Attributes** + Demonstrated experience in large-scale airside projects, including international airports and military airbases. + Knowledge of sustainable lighting solutions and energy-efficient practices. + Familiarity with advanced AGL technologies, such as smart lighting and automated control systems. **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
