Aggregates Assistant Plant Manager

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Oversee daily operations of the rock quarry in Bridgeport, Texas to ensure efficiency and productivity. + Achieve a production volume of 3.8 million tons per year while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. + Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. + Coordinate with various departments to optimize production and meet quality standards. + Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials. + Lead and develop a team to achieve operational goals and continuous improvement. **What Are We Looking For** + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Knowledge of plant operations and safety regulations. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. **Qualification Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience. + Five years of aggregates operations management experience. + Advanced understanding of geology, mining methods, and regulations. + Proven leadership skills managing multiple, diverse teams. + Entrepreneurial thinking and business opportunity identification. **Work Environment** + Fast-paced and dynamic work environment. + Exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions. + Collaborative team setting with opportunities for growth and development. **Physical Demands** + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Frequent standing, walking, and climbing. + Exposure to loud noises and dusty environments. + Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment. **What We Offer** + Competitive base salary $84,730-$112,970 and participation in our annual incentive plan. + 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions. + Highly competitive benefits programs, including: + Medical, Dental, and Vision along with Prescription Drug Benefits. + Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). + AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage as well as Basic Life Insurance. + Paid Bonding Leave, 15 days of Paid Vacation, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave and 10 Paid Holidays.
