As a Ag Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing Strategic accounts. You will meet BASF specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base and prospecting for new opportunities with products, services, and/or solutions from BASF. You will need to have easy access to an airport, allowing you to service your Strategic accounts. Your main geography will be national in scope covering the entire United States (minimum of 70% travel required). **As a Ag Strategic Account Manager - National US (Field), you create chemistry by...** + Managing business relationships with assigned channel partners, which may include Corporate and/or Regional Business relationships.   + Demonstrating your understanding of distribution, the go-to-market systems, business cycles, and competitive relationships of channel accounts, you will develop an approved 3 Year Business Plan as part of the business planning cycle with assigned channel partners and function as part of the Strategic Account Team that sets and implements channel and marketing strategy.   + Utilizing your strong business acumen and demonstrated understanding of the US Seed & Crop Protection market, specifically the relationship of the Distributor/Channel partner within the major US row-crop markets, will be essential as you disseminate BASFs core strategy, channel goals, and objectives throughout all levels of the Channel’s organization, ensuring all key influencers fully understand and support the strategic direction and goals.   + Relying on your Account Management experience (particularly with Regional or National Accounts), persuasive selling and demonstrated negotiation skills, you will communicate and facilitate sales responsibilities with Regional and District managers, allowing for effective business solutions to be developed representing mutually successful and profitable results. Thinking strategically and with high self-motivation, you will ensure BASF is positioned as a preferred supplier.   + Successfully engaging with others, you will identify business opportunities for assigned distributor(s), work with relevant BASF groups to provide required resources to meet such opportunities and set and agree to stretch targets with the Channel and BASF Management that will be monitored monthly.   **If you...** + Have a minimum of 13-15 years’ experience in Account Management, Field Sales Management, Marketing, and/or Business Development within the Agricultural field.  + Leverage a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Agricultural Business, or Agricultural Science or related and 15 years' experience or MS/MBA and 13 years' experience. + Demonstrated expertise with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint presentations, creating pivot tables and analyzing data to assimilate to customers. + Are willing and able to travel a minimum of 70% of the time, primarily domestically.  **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
