Job Description: The Manager of Customer Master Data is responsible for leading a team of approximately eight associates in the West Division, ensuring the accurate and timely creation and maintenance of customer accounts. This role plays a key part in supporting business operations by overseeing all customer master data processes, coordinating related projects, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The Manager will allocate resources effectively, maintain service levels, and provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to ensure team performance aligns with organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the timely and accurate setup and maintenance of customer accounts across the West Division.
Oversee customer onboarding activities, including coordination and follow-up on all required account setup steps.
Oversee the team’s review and processing of customer change requests to ensure consistency with internal policies, data standards, and service-level expectations.
Manage customer account review processes and lead initiatives to improve data integrity and customer account cleanup.
Lead, mentor, and develop customer master data associates to support their professional growth.
Responsible for interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
completing performance reviews and corrective action plans; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with company values and performance goals.
Monitor and manage daily team workflow to ensure appropriate workload distribution and adherence to service-level expectations.
Allocate resources effectively to support business priorities and project demands.
Develop and maintain performance reports to monitor key metrics, identify trends, and communicate results to West Division leadership.
Lead division-level projects related to customer master data, including acquisition integrations and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams - Sales, Pricing, Operations, and IT - to streamline and standardize customer master processes.
Engage with corporate, regional, and divisional stakeholders to promote consistency and alignment across the organization.
Serve as the point of contact for internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with customer data processes and controls.
Ensure that all practices comply with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Assist pricing and regional operations teams with inquiries related to customer master data and pricing structure.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education:
BA or BS in business or related discipline preferred
Required Length & Type of Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in a system/data integrity role, or a role with heavy emphasis on customer management, preferred
2+ years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G Suite
Prior experience with SAP, Vistex, and PROS systems preferred
Microsoft SQL Server experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proven track record of success in prior roles, having demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and effectively present large data sets
Strong organizational, team-building, and people skills, including the ability to work and navigate within a complex organization
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment, as well as the ability to discern when to escalate issues
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work both independently and with a team
Experience integrating new technologies into day-to-day operations
Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
Exhibit customer-focused behaviors such as building positive relationships and striving to understand customers’ needs, both internal and external
