Aftermarket Materials Manager (CVG)
Position: Aftermarket Materials Manager Location: CVG Description: The Aftermarket Materials Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability through the procurement and resale of new and used aviation-related parts and materials. This role requires strong knowledge of aviation aftermarket operations, sourcing strategies, and customer relationship management. The position ensures that procurement activities meet cost, quality, and compliance requirements while maximizing resale opportunities across global markets. EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Identify, source, and procure new and used aviation parts and materials from approved suppliers, brokers, and teardown operations. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, MROs, OEMs, and operators to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize margins and ensure compliance with company standards. Manage resale activities by marketing parts to airlines, MROs, operators, and brokers through direct sales and digital platforms. Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements related to traceability, certification, and quality documentation. Collaborate with Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory turnover and accurate records. Analyze market trends, pricing, and demand to forecast opportunities and adjust procurement and sales strategies. Prepare and present regular performance reports including sales results, margin analysis, and pipeline status. Lead and mentor team members to develop skills in procurement, negotiations, and customer engagement Other tasks as may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Supply Chain, or related field (required). Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation aftermarket parts procurement, sales, or supply chain management. Strong understanding of traceability, certification requirements (8130, EASA Form 1), and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations and customer account management. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Results-oriented with a focus on profitability and growth. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. High attention to detail and compliance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Leadership skills with a collaborative mindset. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office-based with regular interactions across departments. Occasional visits to warehouses, suppliers, and customer facilities. Travel and attendance at trade shows.
